This cutting-tool sharpening and distribution business in Southern California needed a solid B2B website to establish their online presence and grow their business.

Newly created, the company had no logo or branding, so we were starting this website project from the ground up. Our clients knew they wanted a simple, clean, industrial look for their website. They also wanted to come across as a modern, state-of-the-art company with a commitment to outstanding customer service.

What We Did

Before we began designing this website, we worked with our clients to define the company’s unique brand and create their visual identity. Starting with messaging, we created the company’s four-word tagline, “Precision Tooling. Expert Sharpening.” Simple and direct, the tagline clearly and succinctly describes what the company offers.

Using our client’s requested color palette of black, grey and red, we developed the company’s strong, masculine logo, setting the direction for the look, tone and feel of their new website as well as all future sales and marketing materials.

Before we actually began designing this custom WordPress site, we mapped out its content and pages. This enabled us to create and customize the site around its specific content requirements rather than forcing content into a pre-determined design. The result was a smartly planned and thoughtfully executed website designed to meet the specific needs of our clients and their customers.

The new website is bold and industrial, positioning the company as strong, capable and modern. On the home page, a prominently placed defining statement, or tagline, immediately communicates what the company does.

The entire site is built around creating a good user experience. Clear, intuitive navigation and drop-down menus quickly get web visitors to where they need to go, while smart calls-to-action encourage visitors to move throughout the site.

Attention-getting “Schedule a Pick Up” and “Request a Quote” buttons are positioned above the fold on the home page and on most internal pages, quickly directing customers to the services they need.

This website’s user-friendly WordPress CMS makes it easy for company staff to update content, add images, and create new pages. The new site loads quickly and is responsive, so it displays and performs properly on any device.
