Baker & Kerr Architectural Millwork
Redesigned and Updated
Our client, a commercial millwork manufacturer in the Washington, D.C. area, had an old, static HTML website that didn’t accurately reflect their current capabilities and the high caliber of their work.
Their original website, with its extremely limited content, small images and cumbersome navigation, made for a less-than-satisfactory user experience. The site displayed poorly due to its restricted page width and was nearly impossible to view on a mobile device. Furthermore, there was no easy way to update the site’s outdated content.
What We Did
We developed a new custom WordPress website that’s professional, up-to-date and effectively positions our client as a quality supplier in the highly competitive greater Washington, D.C. market. The site features a contemporary edge-to-edge design, bold colors and clean layout.
Crisp, large gallery photographs showcase the quality of the company’s work, while authentic images of their facility establish the company’s credibility. Easy navigation and well-structured content effortlessly guide the web visitor throughout the new site.
One of our client’s requirements for the project was that their new website had to speak to two very different audiences: prospective customers (their primary audience) and job seekers (their secondary audience). In response to their specific needs, we developed a separate employment section for their website which features a job openings page, downloadable employment application, employee testimonials and a “Why Work Here” page.
A user-friendly CMS (content management system) makes it quick and easy for company staff to update their website. Best of all, the new site loads quickly and is responsive, meaning it displays properly on any device.
Additional Services
This project encompassed a full slate of our web and marketing services. In addition to complete web design and development, we created all written content for the website. Other services included logotype styling and image optimization, processing, retouching and color correction.
